Immigration/ U-Visa & T-Visa

Immigrant victims often face challenges when trying to escape violence. They face language barriers, are isolated from their families, and are economically dependent on others since they cannot work legally. Victims often fear law enforcement, government institutions, the courts, and community resource providers.

Our attorneys and advocates can help assist immigrant victims through providing high-quality legal representation in the following areas:

U-VISA

U-Visas may be available to victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse, have reported the crime, or and are helpful to law enforcement or government officials in the investigation or prosecution of said criminal activity or crime.

T-VISA

T-Visas are a temporary immigration benefit which may be available to victims of human trafficking to remain in the United States for a period of up to 4 years.
