Legal Aid of the Bluegrass is open daily from 8:30am-4:30pm. All offices are closed from 12:00pm-1:00pm for lunch.

Our intake department offers both live and online intake options. Our live intake is open Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m and Friday 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Calls are answered in the order they are received.

If you are unable to contact us during live intake hours, you may apply online. You will be asked questions regarding your income, household make-up and other personal information. All of your information goes into a secure website and will not be accessible by those outside of LABG.

LABG does not have the ability to meet with walk-ins to the office. If you do not have a phone, and cannot access our online intake, each LABG office has a designated phone in reception you can use to contact live intake.

Legal Aid of the Bluegrass provides services in the following counties:

LABG proudly partners with the Heart of Kentucky United Way to serve the elderly, low-income and vulnerable families experiencing violence, issues with public or government benefits or criminal records expungement (when eligible) in Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln, and Mercer. LABG also serves the elderly in Clark, Estill, Lawrence, Madison, and Powell Counties.

Legal aid protects the rights of people living at or near poverty with legal problems such as: housing, consumer, family and public benefits. We ensure access to justice for all people, including veterans, the elderly, those who are disabled and victims of domestic violence. You can call us to apply for assistance Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or Friday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Calls are answered in the order they are received.
