Volunteer: We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. If you sign up to volunteer for Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, you will be required to provide certain personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, email, and employment background. This information is used to identify the right volunteer opportunity for you and your contact information will be used to reach you. This information is stored in a third-party case management software that is managed by Legal Aid of the Bluegrass.
E-newsletter: If you opt in to receive our newsletter, we will ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address. You may unsubscribe from these emails at any time by using the link in the footer of all such emails.
Online intake: We allow people to apply for services through the website. The information we collect is used to determine if you qualify for free help from Legal Aid of the Bluegrass. The online application will require you to provide personally identifiable information, such as your income, citizenship status, social security number, address and information about your legal issue. All information collected is sent directly to Legal Aid of the Bluegrass case management system through an application programming interface (API). Your information will be stored on the website for no more than one week, after which it will be deleted and exist only in the proprietary systems of Legal Aid of the Bluegrass.
The website contains hypertext links to third- party websites such as Facebook, Instagram, and other legal resources. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY/ NOTE TO PARENTS
Protecting the privacy of the very young is important. Legal Aid of the Bluegrass does not knowingly collect, use or disclose personally identifiable information from any children under the age of 13. If a child under the age of 13 submits information to us through the website, the information provided will be deleted as soon as it is discovered.
