Senior Seminars Provide Guidance for Aging Population

As an individual enters their golden years, they may experience unique legal challenges. These challenges often involve a person’s dignity, independence or health such as, accessing long-term care insurance and nursing facility care, and ensuring a person’s wishes are respected after passing. Legal Aid of the Bluegrass will provide information about these and other legal challenges at its Senior Seminars. Attendees will learn about: Long Term Medicaid, Power of Attorney’s, Wills, Guardianships, Medicare and Medicaid and Money Savings Programs for seniors. Legal Aid staff and program specialist will be on site to provide simple answers to complex questions. Getting older doesn’t have to be hard.

Need Legal Help

Legal aid protects the rights of people living at or near poverty with legal problems such as:  housing, consumer, family and public benefits. We ensure access to justice for all people, including veterans, the elderly, those who are disabled and victims of domestic violence. You can call us to apply for assistance Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or Friday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Calls are answered in the order they are received.
